Ananth has been with John Crane Canada Inc. since 2000.  Before moving he worked previously with Burgmann and John Crane in the Middle East, and before that with an indigenous seal manufacturing Co. in India; following seven years of pump design/testing experience.  Ananth is qualified in pump design (post grad masters degree) and has 32 years experience with rotating equipment, 25 of those years specifically in mechanical seals. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario.

Andrew has worked for Flowserve and heritage companies for 31 years. He's held positions in sales, field service, and operations in the UK, Saudi Arabia and more recently in North America. Mr. Mathias transferred to Calgary in 2005 with Flowserve FSD's OEM-Projects Group and is presently District Sales Manager for Western North America.

Periodic and continuous vibration expertise, coupled with sales and communications skills, have resulted in several teaching and instructional opportunities in Canada and abroad. As a recognized leader in industry, Mike has developed and administered vibration tests for engineers, technicians and labourers throughout western Canada.

Lal is a Mechanical Engineer with 34 years of experience, specializing in vibration engineering. His expertise includes application of vibration analysis, modal analysis, torsional analysis, structural dynamics, stress analysis and rotor dynamic analysis techniques in solving machinery vibration problems. Lal has operated as a field consultant engineer, developed course material and conducted specialized training courses in basic, intermediate and advanced vibration analysis. He has set up and implemented reliability base vibration monitoring programs. Lal has a B.Sc., Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from the University of Sri Lanka, and an M.Eng. Mechanical from the University of Calgary.

John Sharpe is an independent consultant with 43 years experience. He has worked on the extraction of oil from the Alberta oil sands for the last 28 years including the design and development of Syncrude's Aurora Mine and Albian Sands Muskeg River Mine, Canadian Natural's Horizon Project, as well as studies on several other oil sand leases that are at various stages of development. In particular he has been involved with the specification and design of hydrotransport and tailings systems for oil sands operations.

 In 2009 Andy Shelton left his role as the Director of Engineering for Mabre PD Pumps to join Weatherford International. He was the Engineering Manager for the Myers and Aplex line of industrial pump for the previous 15 years. He has lectured often at the Houston Pump Users Symposium and the Calgary Pump Symposium. He is on the Hydraulic Institute Committee for PD pumps and a member of the API 674 Committee.

Andy graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M in 1991.

Having spent more than 22 years in the global pump industry, Mike Moore has gleaned significant product and application experience with a wide range of engineered positive displacement and centrifugal pump types. During his 16 years with Flowserve, he worked in the engineering, field service, project management and new product development departments. Since then, Mike has worked with Warren Pumps and Imo Pump (both divisions of Colfax Fluid Handling), traveling the globe and speaking extensively about rotary positive displacement pumps for Oil & Gas process services. Mr. Moore serves as the task force secretary for the API 676 Standard - Positive displacement pumps—rotary and he is a member of the International Pump Users Advisory Committee.  Mike received mechanical engineering training from McMaster University and Mohawk College, both located in the province of Ontario.
